Sponsorship Opportunities

Dear Friend,

Promises made, promises kept–in 2011, I committed to raising $10,000 for awareness and education for women of color about causes of and treatment for breast cancer. With my creativity and the help of the LeRoy Butler Breast Cancer Foundation, we held "A TRIPLE TOUCH OF PINK BALL" which was a Black Tie/ PINK Carpet Event. During that event, everyone was a celebrity with great photo opportunities as they walked the pink carpet to the flashing cameras of the paparazzi and experienced an evening of fabulous food, dazzling entertainment and true excitement. The event was sold out, thanks to great partnerships and a committed group of sponsors and volunteers. We were able to donate over $14,000 to The Leroy Butler Breast Cancer Foundation to advance awareness and educational programs. In addition, we presented stipends directly to breast cancer survivors to assist with medical doctor visits, co-pays, hair prostheses and medications. Promises made, promises kept.

In 2013, my goal was to surpass that donation. To achieve that goal, we collaborated with Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Our event, "Knocking OUT Breast Cancer," sold out, and allowed 50 breast cancer survivors to "Rock the Runway" against cancer. They were treated to complementary manicures, pedicures, hair styling, make-up and a professional photo shoot. What an event to remember! We were able to donate $22,000 to Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin, earmarked specifically for women of color and the underserved and under-represented communities. Promises made, promises kept.

For 2015, Flippin to a Cure® has plans not just to keep the momentum going, but to reach even more women of color with the message that we can "knock out" breast cancer with proper education and awareness. We are partnering again with the Barbara Bates Foundation to "Knock out Breast Cancer". This October, 50 breast cancer survivors will model a special collection of Bates Design fashions to raise money for addressing through education the disparities in breast cancer care for African American and Hispanic women. Milwaukee has one of the highest rates of health disparities in the nation. Through Flippin to a Cure®, which is a non-profit 501(c)3 foundation, and Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin, proceeds from this year’s event will benefit women of color.

"Knocking Out Breast Cancer 2015" will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Milwaukee Art Museum. We need your support to continue "fighting breast cancer with fashion." We want to make this year’s event even more impactful by raising more funds, to reach more women, with our message of empowerment through education and awareness.

We are asking you to consider being a major sponsor for this event. For $20,000, we can underwrite most of the costs of the venue, including food and entertainment. For your generous donation, you will be listed as a pink platinum sponsor on our website, throughout the media, and on save the date and invitation mailings. You also will receive 10 VIP tickets to the event. Of course, if you can’t be a major sponsor, we hope that you can help us at one of the attached sponsor levels to help us reach our goals.

I am a survivor. It is my hope that together we can create more survivors by helping educate woman about early detection, treatment and breast cancer survival. We look forward to your favorable response. Please join us this October 10th at "Knocking Out Breast Cancer 2015".

Sincerely,

Dr. Regina Flippin
